Sunshine Snarky in China

You know it's a rough morning when you hear,"m'am"
While I thought it best to stay up all night, I needed every minute, truth be known. The kiosk didn't like our new passports, so to the back of the line we went. Missed our flight. Had to shuttle while shlepping all the bags to terminal 4. Ughh. Folks at US Air are much friendlier in the morning than those at United. Now we will run from one flight to another in San Fran. Bon Voyage. snarls over and out.
Getting Ready
As Lady Antebellum would say, "It's a quarter after one and I'm all alone and I need you now."
While my checklist isn't completely done, it's as complete as it's going to be. The list is ready for Heather and Brett, the best house sitters in the world. From the picture, you can see that one of the most important things on the "To Do" list for the modern traveler is to charge all electronic equipment. This includes the mini laptop, Ipad, Kindle, hotspot, Ipod, phone and camera batteries. I won't show you the prescription table that's about to get loaded. Kris, you'd be proud. Got it all in one suitcase. The other suitcase is for gifts, WPA promotional materials, etc., that will stay in China, leaving room to bring back gifts.
Check back. We leave at 6 AM. Ready or not, here we come. Feel free to post comments or questions as we go. The Bible says, "And He will give His angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways." I carried that verse on a notecard, given to me by Bill Starr over 25 years ago on our first trip to Asia. I claimed that promise then and do so now. Bon Voyage!
